• date and time your device accesses or uses the Canary App, 

• interaction with Content (taps/clicks), 

• the amount of time spent viewing Content, 

• Abuse Reports you submit,

• From submitted images of Abuse Reports:

  • we collect Licence Plates, 

  • Registered Owner name and address

We collect your personal information in order to:

• Facilitate and support our Service and Purpose.

Besides our staff, we share this information with:

• Third parties in order to facilitate and support our Service and Purpose.

• Third parties in order to support marketing.

Providing some information is optional. If users choose not to enter particular information, we'll be unable to provide access to the App. 

We keep your information safe by storing it in encrypted files and only allowing certain staff to access it when access is required for their role.

We are required to keep particular information for seven years, at which point we securely destroy it by securely erasing all digital and hardcopy data, other information will be disposed of within two years of last access date.

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. If you’d like to ask for a copy of your information, or to have it corrected, please contact us at privacy@canary.org.nz.
